RS PRO VDE Cutters
The RS PRO range of insulated VDE Cutters are designed to protect you from up to 1000 V. These handheld cutters have an ergonomic grip which gives you better comfort and control for when cutting different materials.
VDE cutters and pliers are an excellent choice for both electrical and industrial applications. You can be assured that the VDE standard pliers and cutters have been through rigorous testing as set by the VDE Testing and Certification Association to ensure that they are safe to use when working with electricity. What is the advantage of a flush cutter?
Flush wire cutters, or straight wire cutter, don't leave a 'spike' or angle in the wire after it has been cut. Because of the shape of their blades, they are slightly less durable than bevelled cutters, but a straight cut or flush wire may be preferable where there is a risk of damaging delicate components. Where precision is more of a concern than durability, flush cutters should be used.

They are usually light in weight due to the fact they are carried around a lot but heavier types with a wide jaw and thick blades can cut thicker wires.
Care and maintenance
Do not force cutters to cut through material that is too hard for them as it can damage the blades by chipping or blunting them. These hand tools can be cleaned with soap and water, especially the blades, to remove dirt which could cause issues with the joints and encourage corrosion.
