This RS PRO bench can is designed to safely dispense small amounts of volatile or flammable fluids, such as petrol. These solvents are often used for cleaning machine parts and industrial equipment.
The can has a spring-mounted dasher plate that dispenses solvent when it's pushed down. This means you can operate the can with one hand while holding a cleaning cloth to absorb the fluid. The dasher plate also insulates the tin's contents to prevent it from catching alight in the presence of sparks or flames. Any liquid that isn't used quickly drains back into the can to prevent wastage. Its hinged lid closes tightly to prevent harmful vapours from escaping.
