Product Details
Introducing a range of Ethernet cables from RS PRO manufactured using Category 6 cables, commonly referred to as Cat6 Cable. They are electrical cables often used in office environments to link computers to a network hub, router or Ethernet switch. These RS PRO Cat6 patch cables are designed for both mechanical and electrical reliability, using quality materials. They deliver a patch cord solution offering high performance, with a design feature one style fits all cord application.
They are unshielded twisted pairs (U/UTP), a popular type of cable consisting of two unshielded wires twisted around each other. Due to the cables being twisted together both cross-talk and system noise levels are reduced. These RS PRO Cat 6 patch leads are available in different lengths and colours, which makes the identification of the cable easy.
Our U/UTP ethernet cable is made up of 24 AWG copper internal conductors, Insulation (PE), and a PVC jacket which offers both kink protection and flexibility. The RJ45 connectors have gold plated pins that prevent corrosion all of which make the CAT6 cable compatible for speeds up to 10/100/1000 which is commonly referred to as Gigabit networking speeds.
