Looking to make your own test leads, then RS PRO has the perfect addition in the 4 mm double connection male banana plug. This plug is the ideal solution for making test leads to your specification. Upon inspection, the plug connector offers high-grade plastic insulation with a centre contact made from nickel-plated brass and transfer termination method. It accepts test lead cables with a 4 mm diameter and is suitable for any standard 4 mm insulated or non-insulated socket.
There are many variations of banana plug connectors so its important to have a variety of cable leads of various lengths especially if you frequently use multi-meters, voltage meters, or oscilloscopes. The most cost-effective way is to make your own, that way you can set up your workstation or benchtop to be more productive.
