This plunger dial indicator from the RS PRO range is a precise and easy-to-use measuring tool for manufacturing precision tools. It checks the variation in tolerance of machine parts and is useful for small measurements in metric units up to 50 mm.
The indicator uses a ball anvil on the end of the gauge to measure the clearance between two surfaces. It can also be used on rounded surfaces, so it's a versatile tool. The dial is adjustable to ensure the measurements are taken from zero each time, giving you accurate readings within ±0.01 mm. With tolerance pointers and a dial that's 70 mm in diameter, it's easy to read the measurements and quickly assess whether a precision tool falls within tolerance limits.
