Product Details
RS PRO range of dowel pins made from steel and are available in various sizes. Dowel pins are small and cylindrical and are a type of industrial fastener which can be used to retain parts in a fixed position, maintain alignment between different parts, or to join two or more items together. These metric dowel pins are ideal for service and maintenance departments.
RS PRO stock a range of parallel and tapered dowel pins in diameters ranging from 2 to 10 mm and lengths 10 to 50 mm to meet all your requirements.
Dowel pins can be used in various applications such as tool rooms for pivots, spindles and locating pins. These pins are also popular in automotive industries and furniture construction. Steel pins can be inserted into holes to hold the parts of an assembly together by using friction. Dowel pins can hold two or more parts together in a fixed alignment using a very tight fit to keep them firmly in place. Steel dowel pins can also be used in construction to help joints between slabs to bear weight and to keep them in alignment.
