Product Details
Introducing the range of Post-Industrial PETG 3D Printer Filaments from RS PRO, one of the most popular and easy-to-use 3D printing filament materials available on the market. PETG filament (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is the perfect combination of the properties of ABS and PLA, which is recyclable and odourless, making it ideal for use in domestic or closed-off environments with little ventilation. This filament offers greater functionality than ABS in the way that its stronger and more flexible, while also ensuring it is easy to print with through low shrinkage and near enough no warping, which in the process eliminates common issues like poor filament output that impact the overall quality of the 3D print. Suitable for use in a wide range of applications, but especially useful in domestic, education, or office environments, thanks to the easy-to-use nature of the post-industrial PETG material.
3D printing materials or filaments are very versatile products that can create an infinite possibility of outcomes and final prints. There are various materials and colours on the market that can be used depending on the preferred end product in mind, and thanks to this innovative and creative 3D printing technology, 3D printers have enabled an exciting stream of high-resolution 3D prints that can create architectural visualisation models, household tools, functional prototypes and so much more. 3D printing and 3D printing filaments are most commonly used in applications like:
<li>General printing and Hobbyist</li>
<li>Medical and Education</li>
<li>Prototyping and Jewellery</li>
<li>Architecture models and Engineering</li>
<li>Aviation and Automotive</li>
<li>It is important to ensure that the filament is stored correctly to maintain its quality. Over prolonged periods of time, the plastic absorbs moisture from the air which in turn creates small water bubbles in the filament. When heated in the extruder nozzle, these bubbles quickly reach boiling point and impact the fluidity of the filament which then impacts the overall printing result. The use of desiccant dehumidifiers to absorb moisture is highly recommended.</li>
<li>Keep material sealed until ready for use</li>
<li>To maintain the product quality, we recommend removing the filament from your printer if not used for more than a few hours and store unused material in the provided resealable bag in a cool dark place</li>
<li>Store in a cool and dry place (15 ˚C -25 ˚C) and away from UV light, enhances the shelf life significantly</li>
RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards; theyre only given the RS PRO seal of approval if were confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too.
Storage: Cool and dry (15-25˚C) and away from UV light. This enhances the shelf life significantly.
