Introducing the RS PRO LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) Rechargeable Battery, ideal for use on electric vehicles, as a backup power source and more. The LiFePO4 technology in these RS PRO batteries operate at a lower resistance than standard lead acid counterparts and subsequently offer a much faster recharge rate, while also being able to withstand a wide range of temperature changes. Lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries is a derivative battery of the Lithium-ion family, made up of a differing chemistry. The main benefit of using this type of battery compared to conventional lead acid ones is the fact that it offers twice the battery capacity in the same amount of space. LiFePO4 batteries also function at a much lower resistance, which in turn offers much faster recharge times, making them ideal for use in electric scooters and other energy solutions like a solar power storage system. They are also frequently used for backup power supplies as they offer a life span of up to 10 times longer than standard lead acid batteries. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are often used for:
