The Microchip Parallel-input latched driver is a high-voltage, high-current integrated circuit consisting of four or eight CMOS data latches, a bipolar Darlington transistor driver for each latch, and CMOS control circuitry for common functions such as CLEAR, STROBE, and OUTPUT ENABLE. The combination of bipolar and MOS technology provides an extremely low-power latch with maximum interface flexibility. This driver offers improved data input rates, typically operating at better than 5 MHz with a 5V supply, and significantly higher speeds with a 12V supply.
