Product Details
This gauge pressure sensor from Honeywell is used for accurate relative pressure measurements on printed circuit boards (PCBs). It measures the pressure at its port relative to the local atmospheric pressure. The component works by using a piezo-resistive micro-machined element to sense the change in electrical resistance and convert it to pressure, making it useful for fast-changing values. It's accurate to within 0.2%, giving you more precise readings. This component is useful for pressure-based machine control in a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
Gauge pressure, also referred to as overpressure, is the additional pressure in a system above the local atmospheric pressure.
These miniature Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Low Pressure Sensors are small, cost effective devices intended for use with wet/wet differential sensing. Based on the long established reliability and accuracy of the single in-line package, the SMT versions smaller configuration reduces the footprint area on the printed circuit board thereby reducing overall PCB size and cost. The sensor is capable of being board-mounted with other common SMT devices, helping to eliminate secondary board mounting operations and improving manufacturing productivity.
The 24PC/26PC sensors feature proven sensing technology that uses a specialized piezo-resistive micro-machined sensing element to offer high performance, reliability, and accuracy. Both sensor series are unamplified but the 26PC series are temperature compensated. The sensors can be used with a wide variety of wet and dry media that are compatible with polyphthalamide (PPA) plastics and media Seals and they are designed to measure pressures from ±1 to ±15 psi over an operating temperature range of -40 to 85 ºC.
