Success with laser focus on fish welfare
One of the company's customers in Norway is Stingray Marine Solutions, which develops and manufactures advanced technology for the aquaculture industry. The company's proprietary system combines laser technology and software that removes sea lice and continuously monitors fish health in fish farms.
Stingray, which has its headquarters and production facilities in Oslo, has grown rapidly and has now produced and delivered over 3,000 laser nodes that are in operation at more than 160 facilities in Norway and Iceland. The company had a turnover of around NOK 1.4 billion in 2025 and is now expanding with a new production facility to meet high demand from home and abroad.

Over the years, RS has supplied more than 100 different types of products and components to Stingray, and has now reached a total volume of 8 million units delivered. These include standard components, tailor-made solutions and products from partners and subcontractors. The company has also assisted with temporary storage and other solutions when needed.
