Product details
RS PRO Standard Pleated Panel Filters
Brought to you by RS PRO these standard pleated panel filters are high capacity disposable filters, offering a basic level of filtration, or pre-filtration in HEVAC applications. This product is made using patented Kimberly Clark Intrepid® filter media which delivers a constant level of filtering over its life with energy savings of up to 40%. Constructed by bonding a pleat pack of filter media into a water repellent AquaKote® card frame, Aquakote® card has superior tear resistance when wet and great tear resistance when dry and is manufactured from a renewable source. Patented Kimberly Clark filter media has a graduated density for even dirt loading which provides greater dust holding and therefore longer filter life. This filter media is hydrophobic, has a constant efficiency due to its extra natural electrostatic charge, superior efficiency versus particle size, low pressure drop, and is made from continuous fibres so will not shed.
Features and Benefits:
Intrepid media
G4 Grade
Maximum airflow
Varying thickness available in range
How do air filters work?
Used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, HVAC filters are generally made of gauze like material. This provides a small passage for air to flow through whilst also stopping larger particles. Standard air filters are designed with efficiency in filtration, as they collect debris and dust. Some more complex filters remove odours and feature a charcoal element. Preventing debris from entering a ventilation, cooling or heating system is vital in ensuring longevity as foreign objects in these types of systems can cause them to overheat and cease functioning.
Why change HVAC air filters?
If these types of filters are not properly attended to, they can become clogged. This can prevent air flow possibly causing the system to overheat and can eventually lead to equipment break down or fires. Changing air filters regularly is vital for health and safety and a HVAC systems longevity.
