L78M Series Linear Voltage Regulator, STMicroelectronics
The L78M series positive linear voltage regulators by STMicroelectronics all have fixed voltage outputs from 5V up to 24 V with a 500mA current output. They are three terminal regulator ICs that are available in a range of packages from TO220, DPAK and IPAK. These devices are suitable for use in many applications including local on-card regulation and power distribution systems. The internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe operating area protection make them durable. There are no external components required unless you want to adjust the voltage and current outputs.
