ST Robotics R12 Electric Grippers
E1 – A fulcrum gripper with styled fingers ready to use
The E1 gripper for the R12 robot arm is an electric gripper which uses a DC motor and leadscrew to drive the gripper fingers. The gripper includes stylised fingers with high friction rubber tips enabling it to manipulate items that can fit within the separation of the two fingers.
Typical applications include pick and place routines, product handling and manipulation. The fingers are modelled into a designed shape making them instantly ready for use without further preparation or finger design. The E1 gripper is therefore ideal for education and training.
Features and Benefits
" Gripping force: 5N
Operating temperature: 0-40°C
Total stroke: 30 mm (15 mm per finger)
Time to close/open: 500 ms"
E2 – A fulcrum gripper with jaws to which you can fit your own fingers
The E2 gripper is similar to the E1 in design however the jaws feature tapped holes allowing custom fingers to be fitted. The gripper can then be used for various applications depending on the range of sizes of items to be handled.
Typical applications include pick and place routines, manipulation and orientation of test items and laboratory-based projects.
Features and Benefits
Gripping force: 5N approx. depending on fingers
Operating temperature: 0-40°C
Total stroke: 37 mm (18.5 mm per finger)
Time to open/close: 500 ms
EG12 – A parallel action gripper
The EG12 parallel gripper is a high precision DC powered gripper with a large reach and tapped holes to allow complete customisation. The EG12 is made from high strength plastics and aluminium enabling it to be strong enough for most tasks. The EG12 also has a more powerful motor than the E1 and E2 grippers meaning that it has a much faster grip/ungrip time.
Typical applications include pick and place routines, manipulation and orientation of test items and laboratory-based projects.
Features and Benefits
Gripping force: 5N
Operating temperature: 0-40°C
Total stroke: 22 mm (11 mm per jaw)
Time to close/open: 200 ms
