Twin-element Duplex detector utilising two pure platinum wires wound into a miniature spiral and located within axial holes in a high purity alumina rod. The high stability Duplex sensor can be connected to the measuring or control device with two wires for the source and two for measurement, reducing the effects of long leads on the accuracy of measurement. The detector should ideally be housed within a protective metal tube.
