RS PRO "Pull cap" Cartridge Fuses
These RS PRO cartridge fuses are general purpose fuse links ideal for protecting circuits in areas such as industrial installations. These fuses have a rated voltage of 415 V ac and are suitable for use on systems with voltages up to 457 V ac.
Fuses are less expensive and react faster than a circuit breaker. However circuit breakers can be reset after they trip but a fuse will have to be replaced once it blows.
RS PRO cartridge fuse packs are available in a range of current ratings with varying resistance values to suit all your requirements. This range is reliable for a broad range of applications.
This range includes the following types with current ratings 2A to 32A:
413-787 2A
413-793 4A
413-800 6A
413-816 10A
413-822 16A
413-838 20A
413-844 25A
413-850 32A
Features:
Breaking Capacity 80kA at 415V ac, 40kA at 250V dc
Fusing Factor Class Q1 (approx. 1·5)
BS 88 1975 and ASTA certified
Cylindrical shape
Suitable fuse holders include: 184-9272 and 184-9294
Voltage rating: 415 V ac
High breaking capacity
Easily replaced
Size Designations: BS88
Typical applications:
These fuses can be used to protect circuits with high faults levels such as:
Industrial installation
Cable protection
General purpose
Additional Information
What size is it?
12.7mm x 29mm
What are fuses used for?
• For the protection of components and equipment from costly damage caused by overcurrent
• To isolate sub-systems from the main system once a fault has appeared
What is an overcurrent?
It is a setting where a circuit experiences a current that is higher than the normal operating current.
What is Breaking Capacity?
Breaking capacity is the level of current that the fuse can safely handle without exploding or rupturing. The breaking capacity of your fuse should be greater than the fault current of your electronic circuit.
