Product details
EPCO Series Electric Cylinder Actuators
Festo EPCO series electric linear actuators contain a piston rod and integrated stepper motor to produce linear mechanical actuation. The EPCO electric cylinders feature a rotating ball screw that converts the rotary movement of the motor into a linear movement, moving the piston rod backwards and forwards with a high level of precision.
Suitable for use in applications in factory automation that in the past were mostly carried out using pneumatic actuators. Electric linear actuators are used in applications such as machine tools, industrial machinery, office or home automation systems.
How do you program the linear actuator?
The EPCO series of electric actuators features two connectors, one to operate motor control and the second for encoder signal. Both connectors of the actuator can be connected with the Festo CMMO-ST (125-9895) controller for accurately positioning effective loads. The CMMO-ST controller provides web browser based configuration for quick and easy with set-up via the web server.
Full instruction are available in the operating manual.
How do I mount the linear actuator?
The EPCO series linear actuators can be mount horizontally or vertically to suit the required application. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the actuator to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.
Features and Benefits
Recirculating ball spindle for reduced friction between the nut and screw to increase efficiency.
IP40 Rated - Protected against objects over 1 mm
Compact design to suit mounting in a variety of positions
Extensive mounting options for various installation configurations
