Eaton Non-Fused Switch Disconnectors - IS Series Isolators
The IS series of main load switch disconnectors from Eaton provide reliable isolation in industrial applications. This range of isolator switches is DIN rail mounted and are suitable for use in many switching and control applications where there is a need to manually power down and disconnect electrical equipment for servicing and maintenance by cutting the power supply to isolated parts of the circuit. These disconnect switches can also be used as safety switches.
These disconnector switches have highly wear-resistant contacts and twin purpose terminals with a capacity of up to 50mm². With an IP40 degree of protection, the devices are suited to industrial environments with a rated uninterrupted current of 16 to 125A.
Load circuit breaker with isolating function
Performs local isolation, manual override & safety switch functions
IS Series fit a standard front plate of 45 x 45 mm
Quick fastening DIN Rail mounting with 2 lock-in positions
Compatible busbars with switchgear series Xpole by use of the mouth terminal in combination with standard fork busbar
2, 3 and 4 pole versions
What is the difference between a fused switch disconnector and a non-fused switch disconnector?
Unlike fused switch disconnectors, a non-fuse isolator switch does not use a fuse to break or put a circuit into isolation, they instead use a rotary switch or knife-blade disconnect to isolate and de-energise a circuit. Commonly used in industrial automation and control settings.
