Solar Dimming High Pressure SON/HID Ballasts
Solar dimming ballasts for high pressure sodium (SON) lamps and designed to operate in concert with photocell (available separately). These ballasts incorporate connections for a photocell and logic to automatically turn lights ON or increase their brightness at nightfall and decrease lamp brightness or switch them off at daybreak in response to day length sensing assisted by a photocell (available separately). The day length sensing enables these ballasts to operate at any latitude and provide the correct light output to correspond accurately with varying day and night length throughout the year.
Bi-power control gear with astronomical (day / night) response
Lamp ignition at full power under any circumstance and automatic changeover to low level during central night time hours and optimised saving time during any night duration at any latitude throughout the year
Automatic changeover to high impedance level when input voltage is 12% higher than nominal value avoiding over-voltage, stress and reduction in lamp life
The control gear consists of a bi-power ballast and auxiliary box containing digitally timed pulse ignitor and relay
Designed for built-in operation
These ballasts fulfil the reference criteria for best available technologies according to the EC245/2009 Ecodesign Directive
