Product details

HTAT - Moisture Proof Sleeving 4:1

The HTAT Series of heat shrink tubing has been specifically designed to offer superior environmental protection to a wide range of shapes with irregular dimensions due to its high shrink ratio. It is typically used to seal and protect the back-shell of connectors, breakouts and connector to cable transition, as the high temperature inner adhesive lining forms a strong bond to a variety of materials.

Features and Benefits

• Semi flexible polyolefin tubing
• Flame retardant jacket
• Heat shrink ratio of 4:1 meaning when heated this tubing shrinks to a quarter of its original diameter, making it perfect for awkward shaped connectors
• High shrink ratio ensures the tube will be able to fit over larger connectors and still ensure environmental sealing
• High strength bonding due to inner adhesive lining
• Operating temperature -55°C to 110°C
• Heat shrink temperature: 80°C
• Supplied in lengths of 1.2m

What does a heat shrink ratio of 4:1 mean?
A ratio of 4:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to a quarter of its original diameter

How can I shrink the tubing?
A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.

Remember to ensure all health and safety precautions have been taken prior to using a heating devise.
