Discovery Kit for STM32F411VE Microcontroller

The ST Microelectronics STM32F411E-DISCO is a Discovery board for the STM32F411VE microcontrollers (MCUs). It includes everything required for beginners and experienced users to start developing applications with entry-level MCUs.
The STM32F411E-DISCO development board features a built-in ST-LINK/V2 debugger/programmer system.

What is the STM32F411?
The STM32F411 series of microcontrollers are entry-level, high-performance MCUs from the STM32 Dynamic Efficiency range. They are designed applications which require low power consumption whilst maintaining high processing performance. It is based on ARM Cortex-M4 and offers up to 100MHz. The STM32F411VET6 is the on-board chip which comes in a 100-pin LQFP package.

What software does it use?
Alongside the STM32F411E-DISCO hardware, you will require software to write your coding etc. This software includes:
- IAR EWARM (IAR Embedded Workbench)
- Keil MDK-ARM
- GCC-based IDEs (ARM, Atollic, TrueSTUDIO)

What else do I need?
You need a PC running Windows XP, Windows 7 or Window 8. You will also need a USB cable going from USB-A to mini-B.
